We don’t teach music theory, we also don’t push students into advanced techniques when they aren’t ready. We try to give you a good balance of both. We hope you’ll find that we teach you musicality, which allows you to make music, not just play guitar. We also aim to not push too much music theory at you. We aim for a balance. One concept leads into the next, so let us help guide you.
If you just play the guitar, you aren’t practicing. To truly practice, you need to make sure that you are paying attention to the things that you need to pay attention to in order to make improvement. We can help you stay focused and give you the things you need to pay attention to. We’ll help you understand your timing, hand positioning, sound quality and phrasing.

We’ll continue to update and add to the practice plans so you will never run out of new things to learn and practice. StrumSkill is a journey, not a destination.
We’ll update practice plans based on what is and isn’t working. We’ll listen to your input and do our best to incorporate the things that you think we should offer. We’ll keep improving.
